Axor Citterio E is a series of bathroom fixtures designed by architect and designer Antonio Citterio in collaboration with Philippe Grohe – a partnership that began more than 14 years ago. Well into its third collection now, the line consists of refined and functional bathroom products that combine the contemporary with the familiar, oozing aesthetic appeal without neglecting quality and workmanship.
Fixtures in the Axor Citterio E collection are known for their smooth shapes, precise surfaces and soft transitions. Slender mixer handles, such as modern joystick handles and classic cross-handles, characterise the collection. With a total of 37 products, the collection complements multiple styles, be it art nouveau or modern urban.

Revolving around the ‘essence of luxury’, the latest collection enables application versatility while offering an “exceptional ease of use and a pleasant touch and feel,” as explained by Citterio. Water volume and temperature can be easily controlled across washbasins, bathtubs and shower mixers.

Handles of thermostat modules were designed for intuitive usage: cross-handle controls the volume of water, while the cylindrical thermostat handle controls temperature – ideal for frequent change in users, particularly in the hotel scenario where guests will require some time to become acquainted with the functions.
The hand, side and overhead showers can be selected by simply pushing a button. Within the bathtub, the user can simply tug on a lever to switch from bath spout to hand shower – a thoughtful feature that works even with soapy hands.

With the option of 15 highly scratch- and cleanser- resistant PVD-treated surface finishes, including chrome, gold optic, red-gold, bronze and more, the standard range can be customised under the Axor Manufaktur Programme.

The dream collaboration between Axor and Citterio also extends to a system of modular and multifunctional handles, bars and shelving elements made for the bathroom or the kitchen. Titled Axor Universal Accessories, the range feature soft curves, clean lines and a tactile quality, completing Axor’s sleek range of bathroom fixtures and decorations.
“Accessories have a significant effect on the overall appearance of a room; they are an essential part of its décor,” says Citterio. The 12 accessories can be used individually or mixed-and-matched – one’s arrangement can be tweaked or added upon, as required.
