A total of 19 projects from Asia have made it to the 2013 shortlist. Here are the highlights.

This year, the London-based Restaurant & Bar Design Awards (RABDA) has received 670 submissions from the UK and 60 other countries. Out of these, 190 entries across 27 categories have made it to the shortlist.
Farine, China by Neri&Hu (Asia Restaurant category)
The highest number of shortlisted Asian projects are from China and Hong Kong, with the remaining coming from Singapore, Thailand, Japan and Korea.

The finalists will be announced during a ceremony at London’s Farmiloe Building on 12 September 2013.

Shyo Ryu Ken, Japan by Stile (Asia Restaurant category)
Now in its 5th cycle, this year’s event will also feature a new initiative called The Box Project, where past ‘Best Restaurant’ and ‘Best Bar’ award winners will create four different themed bar areas using only white products. To commemorate the award’s 5th year, RABDA’s own team of event partners will be designing the fifth area – the main ceremonial stage and pop-up food space.
