Australia’s Airlie Beach hosts sailing inspired luxury
November 14th, 2007
Airlie Beach on Australia’s Whitsunday Coast is preparing to officially welcome the new luxury residential development: ‘Whisper Bay’, designed by Woodhead International.
Boasting nautical inspired features throughout the development, the interior design was completed by P49 Deesign, with the landscape by Scape Landscape Architects.
“When we decided to find an area to develop we had, from the very beginning, lovers of sailing in mind,” said the project’s developer Rory O’Brien of the Highland Group.
“We knew we would therefore need to provide ample marina berths, as well as beauty and luxury, and of course, ensure that the property’s location was a stone’s throw from some of the best sailing waters in the world.”
The project has been in development for several years, with the first fully furnished, completed villa available for viewing mid-December this year.
