WMK Watermark and DTZ have created a new head office for Panasonic Australia based around the notion of ‘Built-in Genius’.
April 18th, 2011
’Built-in Genius’ encompasses Panasonic’s position as a leader in technology, and the value of its people.
WMK Watermark and DTZ incorporated the colour spectrum of the Built-in Genius logo – an expression of different wavelengths of light and energy, symbolising the company’s energy and the personality of its people – into the fit-out.
The result is an eye-catching contemporary workspace that marks a major shift for Panasonic.
The new office is open plan across a single level. At the centre of the project is a light-filled atrium where the reception area is located.
Workspaces are positioned above, creating a buzzing interactive open space.
Sustainable materials and furniture were used, and pieces of the existing fit-out were re-used, such as existing timber flooring for the new reception desk.
A large breakout space and kitchen, 3 product testing workshops, training rooms, dealer display facility for retail training and 150sqm outdoor terrace complete the space, creating a dynamic, energetic headquarters.
