An innovative partnership with Brisbane’s leading design firm Luxxbox and Brisbane Powerhouse has resulted in ThinkLab at River Studio.
The River Studio ThinkLab is a first-of-its-kind space designed to foster creative momentum and encourage design thinking. Through partnering with the Brisbane Powerhouse, Luxxbox has provided a unique environment for Brisbane, providing purpose fit agile spaces for people to listen, learn and create together.
Fitted with acoustic lighting, spatial screens, collaborative furniture and movable thought boards from Luxxbox’s ThinkLab range, the space has been designed to encourage businesses to unlock their creative potential.
Luxxbox Managing and Creative Director, Jason Bird said that design thinking is at the core of effective strategy development and organisational change.
“The success rate of design-led business such as Apple, Coca-Cola, IBM and Nike has seen design thinking evolve beyond making objects. When design principles are applied to business strategy, the success rate for innovation dramatically improves,” Mr Bird said.
“ThinkLab products are designed specifically for flexible workplaces so they are uniquely qualified to support a design-thinking environment.”
“ThinkLab at River Studio not only provides a creative business solution for both partners, but also supports our combined commitment to contemporary creativity in Brisbane. We are so pleased to be able to partner together to create this unique space.”
Brisbane Powerhouse CEO Fiona Maxwell is excited to reveal the newly refurbished, multi-purpose space in partnership with Luxxbox.
“The collaboration with Luxxbox is a great example of two creative industries – design and performing arts – joining forces to deliver a fantastic new facility for the city,” Ms Maxwell said.
“ThinkLab at River Studio will be an opportunity for corporate and creatives alike to experience workshops, strategic thinking and inspired downtime.”
