Sydney developers, Thirdi Group and Milligan Group have teamed up to create a landmark new residential development in the heart of Waterloo, Iconic

Iconic in Waterloo is set to be the suburb’s most exciting new place to call home, with luxury exterior and interior design by SJB and styling by Coco Republic. The design of Iconic centres on the restoration of three Waterloo heritage buildings, which are set to be converted to residential apartments, channeling a sense of modernity while still retaining heritage appeal through including many original features of the spaces.

“Iconic has been tailored to the lively area of Waterloo,” says Jonathan Richards, director, SJB Interiors, Sydney. “The apartments have an exuberance in the architectural details that encourage the user to express themselves. With a lovely balance of open display and built in joinery, the kitchens have been designed as large pieces of furniture.

Landscaping and high level gardens across the facade are features that become part of the interior experience. There is an elegant rawness in the materials, like concrete styled tiles in the living areas, hand built timber kitchens and natural brass tapware that give the apartments in Iconic a sense of genuine quality just right for Waterloo.”

Facing Waterloo Park, Iconic’s design will serve as one of Waterloo’s greenest and environmentally appealing developments, with a range of vertical gardens, planters and a notably landscaped rooftop garden. This green feeling is designed into the space, with a private resident courtyard towards the rear of the development.
