Designed by CIVILIAN, the premium 20,000-square-foot Brooklyn office balances angled poise with curved embraces and undulating forms, enabling designated workstation zones, communal lounge areas and private focus rooms to enhance organic interaction.

It is a confident expression of the brand’s bold identity – an immersive workplace that fosters creativity, collaboration and connection. Creamy neutrals and blonde timbers highlighted by the sculptural metallic flickers of polished steel create a harmonistic backdrop to showcase Amika’s colourful merchandising of dynamic hair products. Essential to the working experience is the tactile nature of the materials used, connecting all to the workplace, and in turn each other. They include layers of soft upholstery wools, clear glass, smooth timber, glazed tiles and terracotta-hued stone surfaces.

Hardware from the Hemispheres by Bankston + CIVILIAN range was used throughout the office space, including the H04 Door Pulls in Bone. Distinctive Art Deco-inspired dome-shaped adornments feature in the communal kitchen, adding pearl-like accents to the flattened planes of joinery doors. Installed horizontally in this instance, these versatile pulls can also be attached vertically and are available in two lengths, as well as a myriad of finish combinations.
