This lightweight, durable armchair is now available in Australia.
March 19th, 2012
First launched at the Stockholm Furniture Fair in February 2012, the P77 armchair marks the first collaboration between designer Jonas Lindvall and Swedish furniture company Johanson Design.
The design concept was simple – to create a lightweight, comfortable, durable and stackable armchair at an unbeatable price.
To achieve this, Lindvall moulded together two parts, a thin shell and a supporting core.
Two different types of plastic create a feeling of surface softness; a thermosetting plastic provides stability in the core.
With its aluminium legs, the P77 weighs just 5 kg, making it moveable and stackable and perfect for both homes and public spaces.
The P77 is also made of 100 per cent recyclable material, so that it not only looks good, but is good for the environment too.
Response to the chair has already been “amazing”, say Paul and Dan Johanson of Johanson Design, “not least from countries such as Australia, USA and Japan.
“We have already received orders for a number of projects, including schools and restaurants.”
The P77 is now available in Australia from Forest for the Trees.
