Mobilia and Cassina have announced a new partnership in Australia that will also see the establishment of Mobilia showrooms in the Eastern states, as of July 2020.
The iconic Italian furniture brand Cassina has entered into a new partnership with Mobilia, the Perth-based company that specialises in high-end designer products from across the world. The relationship will see Mobilia as exclusive distributor of the Cassina collection in Australia.
Mobilia’s Director, Salvatore Fazzari, commented, “Cassina is a very special brand that effortlessly mixes iconic furniture pieces, steeped in over 100 years’ history, with contemporary designs by top industry visionaries. This unique approach means you can freshly furnish a space with Cassina pieces and feel as though they have been collected over time.”
Fazzari also reflected that, “ Cassina has an unrivalled repertoire that features the authentic reissues of some of the world’s most iconic architects and designers including Le Corbusier, Pierre Jeanneret and Charlotte Perriand, Gerrit T. Rietveld, Frank Lloyd Wright and Franco Albini.
To complement this new arrangement, Mobilia is also extending its reach to the Eastern states of Australia. With head office in Perth, Mobilia will open a Melbourne showroom later this year with further plans to expand nationally, accommodating Cassina and the plethora of other brands within the Mobilia portfolio.
Mobilia is a family-owned business that originated more than 45 years ago as manufacturer of fine furniture for the residential and commercial markets. While the focus of the business has changed, an appreciation of quality and craftsmanship continues to define the company today and is reflected in this latest arrangement with Cassina.
In 2020 Mobilia represents an impeccable range of brands that include Kettal, Moroso, Poltrona Frau, Michael Anastassiades, CC Tapis, Golran and Glas Italia. Products from the Mobilia collections have been finely curated and encompass furniture, lighting, flooring, accessories, outdoor and architectural products.
As Mobilia is moving into a new era, so too is Cassina, presenting fresh and dynamic design along with the quintessential products that have made the brand unique. Fazzari commented, “Cassina’s artistic direction under Patricia Urquiola is equally exciting, along with some of their longstanding collaborations with contemporary designers such as Rodolfo Dordoni and Philippe Starck as well as recent projects with the Bouroullec brothers.”
‘The Cassina Perspective’ will be fully represented by Mobilia with an ample collection for the home that includes the innovative furniture design of today complemented by modern icons to create a singular design offering for the Australian architecture and design market.
Mobilia and Cassina, it’s a wonderful collaboration that will bring a new era to both companies and Australian design is the winner!
