Italian furnishings take centre stage in ’Quantum of Solace’.
November 21st, 2008
When the new James Bond film, Quantum of Solace premieres on October 31, competing with Daniel Craig for the limelight will be selected pieces from the Maxalto furniture collection supplied by one of the film’s furniture sponsors, B&B Italia.
Set decorator, Anna Pinnock says Maxalto furniture was the ideal choice for the film because “it makes such a strong contemporary statement, it is totally functional and evokes the feeling of luxury that one has come to expect with the Bond lifestyle”.
Maxalto furnishings will feature in a number of scenes including a hotel suite at the Grand Hotel Bolivar in Panama. The Talamo bed from the AC collection and the Max writing desk from the Simplice collection both make an appearance as does a selection of night tables, armchairs and dressers.
Maxalto is distributed in Australia through Space Furniture.
