The innovative and multi-functional Screenplay range of textiles recently celebrated 15 years.
February 1st, 2012
Designed by Suzanne Tick, KnollTextiles Screenplay is a multi-use upholstery and wallcovering collection with an innovative sheath-core polyester technology for the highest performance.
Made with woven vinyl fibres, Screenplay can be used for direct glue wallcovering, wrapped acoustical wall panel and furniture upholstery for indoors and out.
The range recently celebrated its 15th anniversary, and the success of its longevity is no secret. Excellent acoustic properties, high durability and ease of cleaning make the fabric functional and long-lasting.
Screenplay is designed to be bleach cleanable, highly durable, and now includes Microban antimicrobial product protection to ward off odour-causing bacteria, mould and mildew.
To celebrate the collection’s 15th year, Tick has created a new geometric honeycomb weave called Improv, for those seeking more texture on a larger scale.
Tick takes a creative approach to textile design, using recycled refuse to create products that are as eco-friendly as they are innovative.
In a collection called Salvage, she created textiles made with recycled dry-cleaners’ packaging. Her Matter collection uses dry cleaning debris, long hanger segments, cardboard tubes and plastic bags. Tick’s creative repurposing of materials is greatly admired by Woven Image, who are themselves committed to being environmentally responsible.
