Herman Miller is bringing its comprehensive and award winning range of healthcare products to the Australian marketplace.
August 29th, 2011
Already a world leader in the commercial and residential furniture industries, Herman Miller will now also become known in Australia for its range of products for hospitals and other health facilities.
Embody and PACS workstation
Over 40 years ago, designer of Action Office and President of Herman Miller Research Corp, Robert Propst, was admitted to hospital for back surgery, where he identified the strain on hospital staff caused by inefficient supply, storage and distribution systems.
This led to the development of Co/Struc, a modular rail mounted storage and delivery system for hospital clinical areas introduced by Herman Miller in 1971.
Since then, Herman Miller’s healthcare range has grown and expanded, making the company a leader in the field.
Compass
The introduction of this portfolio through dedicated Australian healthcare dealers marks an important step for both Herman Miller and the Australian healthcare industry.
Offering the same comfort, ergonomics and visual appeal of its task chair and workstation ranges, Herman Miller healthcare products create comfortable spaces to improve the care-giving experience and make the environment a more positive and healing place.
