In collaboration with Sydney artist Bella Rose, Haworth’s reimagining of its classic Zody chairs are a celebration of inclusivity, diversity and self-expression.

The significance of inclusive design is growing as commercial space design shifts from emphasising amenities to a more holistic approach to placemaking. In this area, furniture has a massive influence on how people experience a space, which is why seating that can support a range of users, preferences and work styles is so important, especially in terms of inclusivity, diversity and fairness.

As a leading manufacturer of office furniture solutions, Haworth understands the evolving needs of the workplace. The company has launched the Zody II and Zody LX task chairs, reimagining a modern classic while delivering extensive design choices, improved sustainability and unmatched ergonomic comfort. Coupled with the vibrant and bold spirit of Sydney artist Bella Rose, these chairs are a celebration of individuality and self-expression.
First introduced 17 years ago, the Zody chair is the most researched chair on the market. The chairs are based on over two decades of research on seating and billions of data points, including data from university partnerships and third-party studies.

The new Zody LX and Zody II build on this legacy with their intuitive controls, ergonomic performance and healthy movement for all users in whatever posture they choose. Both Zody LX and Zody II are ideal companions for height-adjustable tables, with the innovative dual posture elegantly supporting both sitting and perching postures while providing stability and support for diverse body sizes and shapes.
The intuitive adjustment controls, adaptability and ergonomic performance of the Zody LX and Zody II ensure that these chairs can be used by everyone. It is this emphasis on inclusivity and diversity that underpins Haworth’s collaboration with Bella Rose, which celebrates the LGBTQ+ community and supports the creation of workspaces that are welcoming and inclusive for all.

Like Bella Rose, Zody adds a touch of elegance to any office space with its sleek and modern aesthetics. Premium materials are used in Zody II and Zody LX, including digital knits, aluminium trim options, and a variety of upholstery options, including performance upholstery for use in health care applications. Zody II is offered in mesh and knit; Zody LX is fully upholstered.

In addition to aesthetics, quality and ergonomics, the Zody II and Zody LX feature improved sustainability. The Zody II and Zody LX chairs are the first furniture products to receive Cradle to Cradle certification. This certification is the most rigorous, science-based standard in the world and highlights Haworth’s commitment to enabling a healthy, equitable, and sustainable future.
