Blu Dot’s Scamp is a brilliantly modest response to the need for more whilst demanding less
March 8th, 2013
Blu Dot has certainly made a splash since they touched down in Australia.
Having now firmly put down roots in Sydney’s Alexandria design precinct, the Minneapolis based designer/makers are fast finding themselves in high demand, nationwide.
The Scamp family of occasional tables is one range that exemplifies the Blu Dot philosophy of “Good Design is Good” – purveying striking design at fair price points.
Chameleonic in its variety of finishes and minimal in its componentry, the aesthetic is at once contemporary and brave in its fluorescent frame and smoked glass insert, beside the refinement of a copper frame supporting a solid marble top.
The choice of nine combinations in finishes is only enhanced with three table sizes. The Scamp is anything but scant in its offering.
