Cosentino introduces Éclos®, a new mineral surface brand featuring zero crystalline silica, high recycled content and Inlayr® technology that brings 3D layered realism to design.

Cosentino has announced globally the forthcoming arrival of Éclos® — a new generation of mineral surfaces that marks the company’s next chapter in material innovation. Set to launch in Australia during 2026, Éclos® introduces an entirely new category in the market: the “Inlayered Mineral Surface,” defined by its proprietary Inlayr® technology.

Designed for kitchens, bathrooms and interior applications, Éclos® combines performance with visual depth. It is made with zero crystalline silica and incorporates more than 50 per cent recycled materials, with some colours reaching almost 90 per cent. “Since our founding, we’ve been committed to leading innovation rather than following trends,” says Pilar Cosentino, CEO of Cosentino Group. “Éclos® is a new turning point — an evolution that anticipates the future of our industry.”

Much like Silestone® in 1990 and Dekton® in 2013, Éclos® represents a shift in how surfaces are designed and manufactured. Its Inlayr® technology uses robotic engineering and advanced decoration techniques to create layered patterns that extend seamlessly through the material, giving each surface realistic veining, rich texture and a tactile, natural feel.

The composition of Éclos® also brings enhanced flexibility, ductility and impact resistance, improving ease of fabrication and installation. It can withstand direct contact with cookware at temperatures up to 220°C (428°F), making it ideal for high-performance kitchen surfaces and demanding interior environments.

In a global market increasingly focused on material safety and sustainability, the global unveiling of Éclos® positions Cosentino once again at the forefront of innovation — ahead of its Australian launch in 2026. Free from crystalline silica and built around circular design principles, it offers a safer, more responsible and design-focused alternative to traditional mineral and quartz surfaces.
