TEAM 7’s Stern Coffee Table is the winner of the Red Dot Design Award 2011 and the Interior Innovation Award 2011. The ‘star’ which convinces with it geometric forms and the extraordinary construction is both a table and a sculpture.

The core component is a ring-shaped nodal point which stands out technically and formally. Each of the 8 identical rays are shaped from sophisticated natural wood. Arranged upwards and downwards alternatively, the rays are a supporting leg and carrier of a round glass plate at the same time. The plate seems to hover over a circle of rays, thus it lends an optical lightness. 8mm thick and faceted from the bottom, the glass plays with the light and incites charming effects.
No two pieces of TEAM 7 furniture are identical, because no two trees are identical. The furniture is not produced for a warehouse, it is created only in response to customer requests and is exclusively made in seven varieties of European hardwood from sustainably managed forests. Thanks to timeless design, TEAM 7 furniture of today will still look good tomorrow – an important contribution towards protecting our environment.
