Local Sydney artist, Derryn Tal has been awarded a prestigious international award in Italy.

Derryn Tal was awarded the Premio Ercole D’Este at the Imaginary Journey’s International Art Exhibition in October this year.
The abstract contemporary artist selected two unique and passionate works for the exhibition from her mixed media collection – ‘Tides of Time’ and ‘And Beyond’.
The exhibition was held at the landmark Estense Castle in Ferrara, Italy and was organized by renowned Trevisian International Art.
Showcasing 80 exclusively selected contemporary artists from all around the world – Derryn’s powerful work was illuminated, building a strong international flowing in the art community.
Derryn’s name was already in lights, being married to Yosi Tal of Desiger Rugs. She specializes in mixed media painting yet is equipped in photography, collage, illustration, sculpture and rug design.
Inspired by dramatic Australian landscapes, she uses bitumen, oil glazes and acrylics to create a mesmerizing journey on her canvas. ’¨
