Architectus is growing their leadership team to enhance commercial, residential and mixed use sector capabilities by appointing Matthew Smith and Shaun Schroter to the Melbourne Studio.
March 25th, 2015
The move is in line with Architectus’ continued objective and longer term business plan of servicing clients in the commercial and residential sectors across Australasia.
Ray Brown, Managing Director, said, ”It is with absolute pleasure that we welcome Matthew and Shaun to Architectus. They both come with considerable professional accomplishments and experience. Their combined commercial, residential and mixed use experience is impressive and further strengthens our capability to service clients in these sectors across the Group.”
Having spent the past 11 years building and leading the Melbourne Office of Crone Partners, Matthew Smith is well known and recognised for his work in commercial architecture.
“I’m genuinely excited to have joined such a strong practice with great people, a broad portfolio of work, and a recognised quality design brand. I’m looking forward to helping develop a strong commercial portfolio in the Melbourne Office, and working with the business nationally to reinforce their strong market presence”.
Shaun Schroter’s experience in Australia and Asia spans the design of
residential, commercial, retail and institutional projects. A strong commercial background permits an expertise in coordinating his design intent with the implementation processes of statutory planning and construction.
“With a large part of my career spent focusing on Melbourne’s commercial
sector, I couldn’t be more ready to help translate Architectus’ best practice in commercial building design, so well recognised in Sydney, to the Melbourne market,” said Schroter.
