Showcasing a stellar range of Australian furniture, lighting and product design conceived by emerging young designers, this year Workshopped focuses on the work of designers that are “creating the future, inspiring, enhancing and making a difference”. Established in 2001 and giving a crucial leg-up to a host of young designers since, Workshopped remains committed to assisting designers in the difficult process of taking a new product design from prototype to production reality. In the process, these talented designers are assisted to create and maintain successful commercial relationships with industry and the marketplace. Designers exhibiting at Workshopped 09 include Tomek Archer, Charles Wilson, Gary Galego, David Knott and collaborators Ueno Fukutoshi and Akira Isogawa.
