August 22nd, 2022
With a plethora of outstanding retail designs in this year’s INDE.Awards, the winning project is Sarah & Sebastian‘s Melbourne city retail space, designed by George Livissianis. The concept is innovative and original and shows that a small space is no hinderance to achieving a great design.
As supporter of The Retail Space, Zenith congratulates the winner and applauds this outstanding project. Zenith is well-known for designing and manufacturing exemplar products for the architecture and design community and, through this experience, understands that a great space to showcase products is of vital importance.
While the 27 square metre footprint of the interior of Sarah & Sebastian, located in Melbourne city, is compact, through thoughtful design the space has been utilised to the utmost. Employing, movable storage and bank vaults, the idea of mobile compactus pods was created to allow for change and reconfiguration. Mirror polished stainless steel reflects the light and space and the raw interior is celebrated by the pared back aesthetic.
A worthy winner of the 2022 INDE.Awards, The Retail Space, this project exemplifies future-thinking design that is certain to enhance the shopping experience.
