Due to COVID-19 restrictions, for the first time in the 81-year history of the Australian Institute of Architects, winners have been announced ‘virtually’ with the Queensland Chapter of the Institute hosting a ‘virtual’ awards ceremony to announce the winners of its Regional Awards’ program.
The ceremony was streamed to members via Instagram and YouTube and acknowledged the winning projects located all across Queensland.
Queensland Chapter President, Michael Lavery, praised the agility of Chapter members. “Naturally, our architects are accustomed to adapting to changing environments and they embraced the online celebration with a fervour and camaraderie that is indicative of Queensland designers,”
