Hayball, TKD Architects announce 2021 staff promotions

In recognition of the design leadership, collaboration, innovation, sustainability and client service of their own, Hayball and TKD Architects share news of recent internal promotions.

Hayball

Hayball is pleased to announce leadership promotions across the national practice, naming two new Principals, three Senior Associates and 10 Associates across its Brisbane, Melbourne and Sydney studios.

Sarah Buckeridge and Tom Jordan, co-managing directors said, “The past year has demonstrated the dedication and excellence of our staff as they have risen to the many challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic.

“We recognise the leadership in design, collaboration, innovation, sustainability and client service shown by these committed individuals over the course of their careers at Hayball.”

Principals

Liza Ringdahl, Brisbane. With significant experience in education, commercial and retail projects throughout Australia, Liza works with the state government to develop strategic frameworks and guidelines as well as private clients to deliver major projects throughout Queensland. Her work blends conceptual design rigour with a strong sense of place influenced by her background in research and neuroscientific principles.

Rob Marcen, Melbourne. Since joining Hayball in 2007, Rob has had a significant role in advancing the practice’s Design Technology capabilities. With a career equally weighted between architectural projects and specialist technology and BIM leadership, Rob advances new digital thinking in all aspects of the practice; intrinsic to the making of architecture.

TKD Architects

Tanner Kibble Denton Architects (TKD Architects) has announced a suite of promotions that recognise the diverse talent within the practice. The promotions demonstrate the practice’s commitment to career progression and practice evolution, renewal and succession planning.

“The appointment of Mel Mackenzie as a Principal, in addition to the staff changes announced on 5 February, is a clear demonstration that renewal and succession is something we value very highly,” says Alex Kibble, TKD Architects’ managing director.

“These individuals are dynamic and talented members of our team and we look forward to working together to take TKD forward. We anticipate the senior leadership group will continue to evolve in the coming years, responding to change in the industry and our profession.”

 

Principal

Mel Mackenzie, Sydney. Bringing more than 20 years experience, Mackenzie joined TKD Architects in 2013. She leads the Interior Design team, working across commercial, education, healthcare, residential and retail projects.
