An SJB-designed restaurant officially opens its doors: Frederic and Fred’s

The newest culinary addition to the Melbourne suburb of Cremorne is Frederic and Fred’s, opened by the Reymond siblings – owners of Bistro Gitan and L’Hotel Gitan. To launch the new venue, guests were invited to enjoy its ambient interior and welcoming hospitality with bites coming straight out of the kitchen. For the interior design of the all-day bistro and adjoining bar, SJB channelled retro European aesthetics with warm lighting and classic furniture alongside original vintage pieces. Welcome to the neighbourhood Frederic!

This theme of ‘wellness’ as a holistic concept is currently top of mind for many businesses and individuals – and the team at Futurespace is no exception. The studio’s much-anticipated annual event celebrated everything to do with wellness – from the Kombucha cocktails (which were actually delicious!) to the Mindfulness Room and the Navy Seal ‘box breathing’ technique that guests were instructed in.

With a theme of #FutureYou, around 200 guests turned out on a beautiful Spring evening in Sydney to celebrate the successes of the past 12 months as well as toast a happy and healthy year ahead. A great night was had by all, and the wellness initiatives certainly contributed to this being Futurespace’s biggest and best annual event yet!

Winning Appliances throws open its doors in Richmond

Winning Appliances invited over 300 design and supplier guests to officially open its incredible new showroom in Richmond in October. The large and spacious old warehouse has been transformed into a culinary destination. The night included local Victorian drinks and a delicious handcrafted menu. An outstanding feature of the night was watching Aboriginal artist Stan Yarramunua paint a Smeg fridge live through the event, which is to go home with one lucky guest.
