Following nearly 20 successful years in Australia within the impressive stable of Hub Furniture, the Italian brand, Molteni &C, and its sister company, kitchen brand Dada, is set to launch its first Australian Flagship store.
The opening is tipped for mid-year with a dedicated 500-metre-square space, located in Richmond.
Molteni &C has enjoyed a strong presence in the Australian market with Hub, under the guidance of Jacqueline Foti-Lowe who first introduced the brand into the market in 2005.

In recent years, both Molteni &C and Foti-Lowe have come to recognise the limitation of a multi-brand model, together exploring the exciting idea of shifting to a mono-brand business structure.
“In early 2021 I recognised the time was right to make a bold decision and focus my attention and efforts in the one direction and with one of the industry’s most international and powerful brands,” says Foti-Lowe. “With this, planning commenced and Hub has begun the process of carefully handing over its other key brands, allowing me to fully take up the reins on this exciting new venture.”
For 20 years, Hub has consistently contributed to the richness and diversity of the Australian cultural and design landscape during its long and illustrious career.

Foti-Lowe’s eye for design and her proven industry track record are now set firmly on the task of galvanising the next steps for Molteni &C and Dada in Australia.
Both companies and Foti-Lowe are thrilled to be working with Molteni &C and Dada creative director, Vincent Van Duysen, in designing the new retail tenancy in what is the newest precinct to enter the Church Street design district, Industry Lanes, developed by Salta Properties.
With its soaring ceilings, dramatic presence on the main street and glorious courtyard at the rear, the flagship destination will be the retail anchor of this new development. And, with a mandate to surpass all expectations in customer experience, plans are already afoot for a calendar of exclusive events activities.

For anyone who has visited the awe-inspiring stands of Molteni &C at the Salone del Mobile Milan, they will appreciate the rich, tactile touches that make the whole experience so very memorable.
Adjacent to the flagship store will be an all-new design destination called The Front Room, offering a boutique selection of lighting, art and objects that will distinctly compliment the Molteni &C experience.
“Expect the same beautiful pieces through our Australian flagships and The Front Room, and know that you will be able to easily acquire it for your own home,” says Foti-Lowe.

The story doesn’t quite end there, though, says Foti-Lowe. Luxury Swiss appliances brand, V-ZUG will form an important part of the strategic move. Its approach to customer service and experience, and exceptional design and manufacturing quality aligning perfectly with the vision of Dada Kitchens.
Joining Melbourne will be a second Flagship store in Sydney within 18 months. In the meantime, Hub Sydney will continue to showcase Molteni &C and Dada from their Alexandria Showroom.
The Molteni & C | Dada Melbourne flagship is set to open late 2022. Ahead of the opening you can visit the Hub POP UP at 7a Smith St, Fitzroy, Monday – Friday, 10am – 5pm and Saturday 11am–4pm.
