Cult has just celebrated the grand openings of its newest showrooms in Australia and New Zealand, marking a significant milestone in the ever-evolving design landscape.
March 12th, 2024
With events in Perth and Auckland to set 2024 off with a bang, Richard Munao, Cult’s Founder and Managing Director, sums up his enthusiasm for the company’s growth: “This year, we’re thrilled to introduce not one, but two showrooms – a brand new location in Perth and the reopening of our Auckland showroom. A lot is happening at Cult.”
With a legacy spanning 27 years, Cult has maintained a presence in Perth since its inception. Initially collaborating with partners, the company has witnessed a transformative shift in the local market over the past five years. Traditionally, showrooms in Perth relied on imports from east coast companies, but Cult is boldly breaking away from this tradition by directly importing products.

This strategic decision underscores the company’s commitment to offering top-quality products at the most competitive prices. Over the last four years, Cult has actively engaged with and serviced a varied and evolving market through its dedicated team, allowing for growth not only within the architecture and design industry but also among consumers.
Recognising this trend, Cult has strategically opened its own showroom in Claremont, an established design precinct of Perth, poised to better meet the demands of both professional and consumer markets.

The new Perth showroom boasts a distinctive feature: a 250-square-metre outdoor area designed to showcase the best in outdoor furniture. This outdoor space features iconic pieces such as the popular HAY Palissade range, the sophisticated Skagerak collection by Fritz Hansen, and the whimsical Pacha Outdoor Lounge Chair by Gubi. Customers can explore these exceptional designs in a setting that captures the essence of outdoor living.
Indoors, the showroom boasts a curated selection of renowned furniture, lighting and accessories brands, including the exquisite Italian designs of Zanotta, the modern originals of Fredericia, the contemporary Danish creations of &Tradition, the unique pieces from Karakter and the cutting-edge Australian designs by nau, to name a few.
The new Perth showroom is set to become a hub for design enthusiasts, architects, and industry professionals alike. Meanwhile, over in Auckland – and after a meticulous year-long restoration and renovation effort following damages caused by flooding – Cult’s Auckland showroom has joyously come back to life.
