Bringing together pieces created by Waterson over the years, the exhibition forms a physical survey of the themes that recur throughout her work – a “3-dimensional ’trace’, sketch or echo of past trajectories.”

Waterson recently visited Japan, China and Turkey as part of a Winston Churchill Fellowship, exploring the origins of patterns and their relation to 3-dimensional spaces and objects. A selection of work informed by Waterson’s research can be seen within the exhibition.
The exhibition forms part of the 2012 LMFF Cultural Program and is presented by How We Create.
Trace opened on 15 March and runs until 12 May. Check out the pictures from the opening night below, and visit Waterson’s blog for an insight into the exhibition, from inspiration to installation and the story behind some of the pieces that make up the collection.
