Participate in the program for Queensland’s first design triennial.
July 2nd, 2010
This October sees the launch of the inaugural Asia Pacific Design Triennial – Unlimited – which will run from 4 until 10 October 2010 in Brisbane.
The program will demonstrate how design and design-led thinking can address major challenges facing the region and will be framed within six curated ‘unlimited zones’ – Solutions, Immersion, Insight, Ideas, Installation and Associations, with an audience of over 50,000 people.
Each zone has a series of events that engage with the overall theme of Opportunity and the thematic fundamentals of food, water, energy, shelter, health and education.
This theme sets an optimistic outlook to explore the economic, social and ecological realities of the Asia Pacific region.
Unlimited Associations will provide a wider framework of satellite events that will sit alongside the core curated program, providing an opportunity for business, practice and industry based in Brisbane to self-manage and self-fund events within the umbrella of the program.
If you would like to explore the potential to have your solo event included within one of the group initiatives, contact Philippa Abbott.
Entry to the program will be based upon quality of submission and accepted by invitation at the Creative Director/Senior Curator’s discretion.
The submission deadline is 5.00pm Monday 12 July 2010. All participation details can be found on the site.
