Announcing our partnership with the expansive, exciting Ventura Lambrate design exhibition for 2016.
April 5th, 2016
Ventura Lambrate presents the latest developments at the forefront of contemporary design, and features temporary initiatives, special projects and creative hospitality concepts. The presentation is hosted in Milan, as part of Salone del Mobile and this year features work by over 149 designers from 29 different countries.
In 2016, the exhibition follows a number of curatorial themes. ‘Memphism’ refers to the distinct characteristics of the Memphis Group, an Italian design and architecture group who held their debut at Salone del Mobile in 1981. Geometric shapes, asymmetry, colourfulness, and unusual colour combinations – the movement was short lived but had a lasting impact. Under the theme ‘Mad Men’, designers and makers express gender in design, encouraging us to consider – is it indeed possible to recognise if a design has been made by a man or a woman? Other themes include ‘Thinking Traditions’, ‘Academies’, ‘Return Of’, ‘Nationalities’, ‘The Young Ones’, ‘Technology’ and ‘Galleries and Garages’.

Ventura Lambrate will run from 12 – 17 April, 2016 in Milan.
