INSIDE World Festival of Interiors have announced the nominees that will go head to head in the annual interior design competition.

To be held once again at Singapore’s Marina Bay Sands in October, this year’s INSIDE consists of shortlisted projects from 21 countries and across nine diverse categories, namely: Civic, Culture & Transport; Bars & Restaurants; Creative Re-use; Display; Health & Education; Hotels; Offices; Residential; and Retail.

Mott32, Hong Kong, by Joyce Wang Studio – Bars & Restaurants category

This year, three interior projects from Hong Kong have been picked for the final round of live judging. They include Joyce Wang’s much talked about restaurant Mott32 (see our story here), a cinema project by One Plus Partnership (our story here), and a residence designed by Affect-t.

On this year’s shortlist, Paul Finch, Programme Director of World Architecture Festival and INSIDE has this to say: “Once again, the submissions cover an excellent geographical range, with entries from most continents, reflecting the very different expectations of clients and design approaches around the world.”

Cavendish Heights Residence, Hong Kong, by Affect-t – Residential category

The 2014 judging panel includes Joey Ho, Pernilla Ohrstedt, Mark Dytham and David Kohn. Nigel Coates serves as Associate Director of the Festival.
