Move Rocking Armchair – Giorgetti
The Move rocking armchair (above) designed by Rossella Pugliatti was a star attraction at this year’s Salone, and it’s easy to see why. Move is a dynamic and sinuous design with great aesthetic balance. The wooden structure is created by way of two interlocking, organically-shaped elements. The lightness of the curved structural elements and the rocking movement makes this design a masterpiece. Interestingly, the chair is made up of no less than 30 pieces of solid ash. Move is available in three finishes: natural, anthracite grey and walnut.
Husk Chair – B&B Italia
A hard shell in Hirek and a series of soft cushions: these are the basic elements of the Husk armchair by Patricia Urquiola. Husk is designed for comfort and offers three different typologies of cushion: standard, large and very large, and with a headrest. An ottoman footrest is also available.
Playing on the wide range of colours and finishes of the shell (in four-toned recycled plastic material), the swivel base-frame with four spokes (in black, brushed light oak or grey oak finish) and covers (numerous types of leather or fabric), Husk can radically change its appearance, from a single colour to an extremely bright or subtly elegant style. Both recycled and recyclable materials are used in the making of the Husk chair. The chair’s components can also be fully disassembled in future – thus simplifying the recycling process.
Manto Sofa – Poltrona Frau
The rounded lines of Manto’s back and its armrests recall elements found throughout the history of the brand, but are cleaner and sharper here. Like a big, enveloping, and highly treasured cape. Slightly padded. Additionally, a series of pleats impeccably executed by hand creates a refined, wavy pattern on the sofa’s surface.
Manto is upholstered in Pelle Frau® leather. Its cushions and cape are completely removable, and are also available in fabric. Feet come in solid ash, in smoked or wengé dyed shades.
Giorgetti, B&B Italia and Poltrona Frau are carried in Hong Kong by ViA.
