After months of anticipation, Saturday Indesign will finally be here next week – taking over Melbourne for 24 hours of design action. Open to anyone with a free registration, the event promises to reinvigorate your design senses and connect you with the latest products, knowledge and people to charge up your practice. Tune into immersive design discussions, brush up on your skills with our workshops, tour Melbourne’s best showrooms and refuel with spreads of delectable hospitality offerings at locations across Melbourne.
With so much content to squeeze into just one day, we’ve put together our tips on how to make the most of your event. So read on and ret ready to reconnect and recharge with the best of Australian design at #saturdayindesign.
Step 1: REGISTER
Register online now to your free all day pass. Online registration only takes a minute and will save you the lineup on-day. A free registration gives you access to everything the day has to offer, including all showrooms, activations and our free shuttle transportation.
Step 2: PLAN YOUR DAY
With so much to discover, here are some easy tools you can use to navigate the event. Check out our What’s On page or pick up a handbook at any exhibitor location on-day to see all the great activations, collaborations, design discussions and exhibitor locations you can get around to. There is something for everyone at Saturday Indesign, choose your own adventure and get around to all the best parts.
Step 3: START YOUR DAY AT ANY EXHIBITOR LOCATION
The easiest step: just turn up! Start at any exhibitor showroom location, at any time. With 34 exhibitors across 26 locations in precincts such as CBD, Richmond and Collingwood, there is a starting point near you! Plan your day via the activations you want to see or just go where the wind takes you. The event commences at 9am, and we recommend starting your day early to fit as much in as possible.
Step 4: GET AROUND – YOUR SID, YOUR WAY
Explore all the great exhibitor locations by following our walking routes, using public transport and trams, or by making use of our free bus loops. Precinct buses stop at every exhibitor showroom location in the precinct, and connect each precinct to the next. Pick up an event handbook or keep an eye on the event map to help hop on and hop off, free!
Step 5: BE IN IT- TO WIN IT!
With 34 exhibitors, 11 Design Discussions, 9 collaborative installations and over $33,000 worth of prizes up for grabs when you attend, Saturday Indeseign will treat you to a full day of design inspiration and fun! Share your experiences on day using #SATURDAYINDESIGN!
Step 6: DANCE THE NIGHT AWAY
Experience the best of Melbourne’s design scene during #saturdayindesign, and after the buses stop running, head to our official afterparty venue for a VIP evening that brings the lively atmosphere of a house party vibes to one of our SID design precincts.
