For hospital and aged care environments, Staron Solid Surface provides design solutions that are at once ultra hygienic and visually appealing.
Staron Solid Surfaces are known for its design ingenuity and flexibility. The engineered surface material is made from a pure, natural material derived from bauxite ore and blended with an advanced pure acrylic resin – this means the surfaces can be applied in continuous lengths, extend from floors to walls (or basins to counters) without joins, and form soft or severe curves as desired.
The range is also celebrated to be durable, long-lasting materials that don’t age or stain. But it’s also ultra hygienic and completely suitable for hospital and aged care applications.
The non-porous nature of Staron Solid Surfaces abolishes cross contamination in hospital and healthcare environments, ensuring safe surface solutions for patients with compromised immunity and healthcare workers with increased exposure to airborne diseases, viruses and bacteria.
Furthermore, Staron’s non-porous nature also prevents the growth of mould and mildew, providing clean and safe surfaces even in wet areas. Being slip resistant it is also safe for wheelchair access.
Because Staron can be applied as one continues surface – from counters that extend up from the floor, to fully integrated basins and vanities, to a continuous floor to wall surface – the lack of open joins eliminates the concern of dirt or bacteria building up in corners and crevices.
Common applications of Staron Solid Surfaces in healthcare settings range from wall cladding, nurses’ stations and patient examination areas. As we know, the ultra-hygienic material can be configured flexibly thus the opportunity is there to create interesting and stylish environments that don’t sacrifice hygienic properties. Moreover, it is warm, soft and soothing to touch, not cold and sterile like other sanitary surfaces can feel.
For a heightened response to hygiene requirements, Staron has a specific surface solution that comprises the hygiene and design versatility of Staron with a bacteria killing, antibacterial inclusion. Evermoin by Staron is an anti-microbial surface that actively kills bacteria, offering a surface specifically engineered for a healthier life.
All Staron Solid Surfaces are silica free, Greenguard and Greenguard Gold certified and non-toxic.
