Bathe began in 1995 as the Australian agent for Europe’s largest bath maker, Kaldewei. This brand introduced our company to manufacturers that are passionate about creating everyday products that are highly functional, superbly crafted works of art designed to enhance our living environments.

What does your company supply?
Bathe offers retailers, architects, designers, renovators and homebuilders access to Bathroom fittings from the world’s leading manufacturers KALDEWEI, LAUFEN and HANSGROHE.
Bathe distributes KALDEWEI baths, LAUFEN sanitaryware, and HANSGROHE tapware and showers designed by renowned designers such as Alberto Alessi, Philippe Starck, Roberto+Ludovica Palomba, Antonio Citterio, Patricia Urquiola and Phoenix Design.
Where do you distribute?
Bathe distributes to retailers and commercial outlets Australia-wide.
Describe your customers?
Our customers are those who have a passion for great design and who do not compromise on quality. They understand that beauty is not skin-deep, that cheap copies cost a great deal more in the long run and that great products only come from great companies. And that great functionality, great design and uncompromising quality offer the end-user an unparalleled experience every time.

What sets your company apart?
It’s Bathe’s brands that set us apart. They are each global leaders in their respective fields. Quality, design and technical superiority are the mantra that these companies live by daily, which means that whether our clients specify our entry product or the luxury designer items, there is no difference in build-quality. Bathe’s passion is to ensure our design community have the tools to create the ultimate bathroom space.
What are your client’s priorities at the moment?
Our clients are recognising that a key element of sustainability is durability and design integrity. A product that outlasts the surrounding finishes and in the meantime has provided a pleasurable user experience, not only saves the environment but also makes it a good investment.
What is good design to you?
Bathe represents global leaders in their respective fields. These are major manufacturing groups based in Germany and Switzerland, where corporate survival is about being at the forefront of technological development. Each of the brands we represent, KALDEWEI, LAUFEN and HANSGROHE, invest hugely in R & D and not surprisingly, lead the way in technological advancement. They live to make a great looking tap, or a shower that outperforms anything else in the world, while saving water, or a bath that could not go into production until the CEO had laid down in it to ensure the ergonomics were correct, or a toilet that not only saved water, but was a work of art to behold.

What does the future hold?
One of the greatest advances in the history of bathrooms is in design. Twenty years ago in the bathroom industry, there was no design. Every item was chosen on price and function. Now, the Europeans especially, are designing and creating complete bathrooms, i.e. every product from the toilet-roll holder, to the bath and including the cabinetry and even the lighting, comes from a single designer. The finish is simply, a work of art and in my mind, can only enhance each and every visit to the one room in the dwelling, we hope to have a little influence over.
