Zip Water made a big splash at SID this year with an extraordinary stand that embodied the brand and showcased its products beautifully.
With its eye-catching stand and impressive Vestal by Zip taps, which were dispensing beer, wine and cocktails such as espresso martinis, Zip Water was easily one of our favourite stands at Sydney Indesign this year! Ingeniously designed to appear as if surrounded by cascading water, the sizeable display (pictured above) was created in collaboration with renowned architectural firm SJB to take guests on a sensory journey to experience the ‘Zip Effect’.
The key concept for the design was the abstraction of drinking water – evoked by creating a series of enclosing spaces without static elements. Thus, whilst the space was entirely fluid so as not to restrict movement, the inside was still cleverly obscured from the surrounding stands to create a completely immersive experience for visitors. A range of Zip water HydroTaps were staggered throughout the fluid space and there was also a Cocktail Tasting Station for guests providing bespoke, sparkling water-inspired cocktails in conjunction with I Quit Sugar.
Zip also used the event to unveil its new, beautifully designed All-In-One Celsius ARC, which delivers all home water needs from a single tap. Designed on the back of extensive qualitative research and a trend towards de-cluttering the kitchen sink, the impressive tap offers instant filtered, boiling, chilled and sparkling water, seamlessly combined with a regular mixer tap with unfiltered hot and cold-water options (perfect for washing up).
The stunning tap creates a more aesthetic and less functional looking sink area with its sleek, elegant form and clean lines. And as kitchens become increasingly design-led and integrated into open-plan living and dining spaces, this is key. The All-In-One Celsius Arc also boasts advanced energy efficiency and best-in-class cooling technology, performing to the highest standards of environmental responsibility and sustainability. For unlike water-cooled systems, its air-cooled ventilation system doesn’t use precious water.
For all of these reasons, the latest addition to the Zip family was recently (and rightly too, I might add!) recognised by the Good Design Awards. After all, it’s a tap that instantly quenches your thirst – in whatever form you desire – whilst also doing its bit for the planet.
