Missana has taken iconic Bauhaus style and given it a contemporary twist with the launch of the Trampolín bench, designed by Cuatro Cuatros.
The Trampolín bench is a three-seater bench, standing out from the crowd with its unique blend of iconic Bauhaus-inspired heaviness in structure and the actual weightlessness of its seat and backrest, resting in an almost floating way.
The bench, designed by studio Spanish design team Cuatro Cuatros, joins the iconic Trampolín Collection and is in line with simple and schematic lines of its sister chair and barstool, yet introduces a remarkable touch with its structure, resulting in an exclusive and unique design.
It’s the conflicting ideas of comfort and resistance that drove the design of the Trampolín bench, which sees equally juxtaposing cutting-edge and traditional early 20th century design come together. With a removable backrest and seat, the bench is an ideal piece for waiting areas, halls, corridors, hotel rooms, bars, restaurants, and more.
Available in a great variety of finishes both for the structure and the upholstery, the bench is a chameleon of design, suitable for many different spaces or decorative styles.
The piece is the first 2017 design from Cuatro Cuatros, who have been in the game since founding in Valencia in 2010. The studio have traditionally specialised in home design, yet as the Trampolín bench shows, they’re equally at home with commercial furniture.
The manufacturers at Missana have over 20 years of experience and an endless passion for the design and upholstery worlds, and a focus on new and innovative ideas from designers all over the world. Every product is traditionally handmade in the design factory in Valencia, with the result being a curated collection that showcases the best of upholstery and design.
