The latest addition to Miele’s modular CombiSet range.
April 1st, 2010
Miele’s new CS 1421 S Salamander enables home cooks to emulate the talents of professional chefs and perfectly brown, grill, caramelise, glaze and keep food warm.
The ultimate jewel in the crown of Miele’s modular CombiSet range, the CS 1421 S Salamander is the latest example of Miele’s expertise in bringing sophisticated professional catering technology into domestic kitchens.
Like the other nine elements in the CombiSet range, including gas, HiLight and induction cooktops, an indoor barbecue and a built-in TepanYaki, the Salamander demonstrates innovation and technological leadership to enhance the talents and effectiveness of domestic culinary aficionados.
In professional kitchens, Salamanders are generally bulky appliances which require a great deal of space.
Miele’s revolutionary CS 1421 S Salamander, on the other hand, is unobtrusive.
When the appliance is not in use it displays only its elegant stainless steel cover and the controls, with the remainder hidden below the benchtop.
If switched on, a motor raises the one, height-adjustable heating element and base above benchtop level to provide 12 power settings for regulating the intense radiant heat from above.
The distance between the base and the halogen heating element can also be infinitely adapted within a fixed range, ensuring outstanding performance and adjustability to a range of applications.
The Miele CS 1421 S has a residual heat indicator and effective overheating protection. Safety features have also been incorporated to prevent the unit being returned to the flush position when it’s still hot.
An obstruction sensor also immediately terminates motorised retraction if the unit meets with a resistance.
The CS 1421 S Salamander is available from Miele Chartered Agents for an introductory price of $4699.
