Staron® Solid Surfaces by Samsung offer a creative canvas for designers to demonstrate their flair.
In the case of COLORNORI by Markus Benesch, the designer set about ‘playing with colour’ as a representation of positivity and happiness.
An exhibition was created in Milan of his work, which showcased the flexibility and fun to be had with Staron® Solid Surfaces.
The exhibition offered a stimulating representation of colour and the potential of the Staron® Solid Surfaces as a tool for designers to showcase their creative flair.
The versatile, monolithic nature of Staron® made it possible to create long and wide pieces – and the thermoformability meant that Markus could create curves, and sculpted shapes in one continuous surface.
The ability to blend Staron® with other materials also allowed Markus to use an enticing mix of materials like paper, cardboard, rapoxy and wallpaper to create this animated and bold installation.
The Staron® Design Awards are now open for entries, which will recognize the original and unique designs made with Staron®.
The judges panel includes Mandi Keighran – Assistant Editor of Indesign, Senior Design Architect – Stephen Varady, and Amanda Stanaway of Woods Bagot Pty Ltd.
