Brisbane artist Matt Stewart has been announced winner of the Australian arm of the Tiger Translate 2011 Global Showcase.
October 17th, 2011
Matt Stewart’s ’Butterflinger’ design has been chosen from 8 finalists as the winning Australian entry in the Tiger Translate 2011 Global Showcase.
Stewart is a self-taught artist, using a range of different mediums to create textured pieces with a raw, pop-art edge.
Stewart’s design will be displayed along with the 7 other finalists at a VIP party in Sydney in November. He will then be flown to Asia to represent Australia and compete in the international Tiger Translate, battling it out against emerging artists from around the world.
