The world’s largest office furniture fair launches the latest products.
October 31st, 2008
Orgatec 2008 was once again a huge success. The international office furniture fair is the world’s biggest and this year was no exception. Some of the biggest names in office furniture launched their new ranges.
The fair was a hit with visitors – the new halls giving companies the opportunity to take larger stands and offer a lot of new products.
Noted as one of the highlights of the event was the launch of the new Herman Miller ‘Embody’ chair. Following the continued success of the Aeron chair this new offering from Herman Miller has cost millions in development and trials.
Walter Knoll presented 10 new products including ‘MY chair’ by Ben van Berkel, ’Gio’ by Claudio Bellini and ’Foster 510’ by Norman Foster. The fair also saw notable brands, Humanscale, Vitra (launching the ‘AC4 Taskchair’), König + Neurath (introducing ‘Sensona’), bene, Wilkhahn, STUA, Fritz Hansen and Sinetica launch exciting new products. Senator was one of the few companies to launch a new desk systems range – ‘Crossover’.
Methis launched new ranges of office partitions and furniture and a new image, website and logo. Interstuhl launched six new seating ranges including the new ‘Silver’ chair, which will feature in James Bond: Quantum of Solace.
The fair was a huge success and, as usual, products launched will no doubt be talked about for some time and hopefully it won’t be long before we see them hit the Australian market.
