The Boiacca Wood table is the newest addition to the Boiacca collection, designed by Paolo Lucid and Luca Pevere of design studio LucidPevere for Kristalia.
July 1st, 2014
The table has the warm appeal of wood, perfectly matching the distinct and harmonious lines of its design. With a certain element of refined elegance, its pure and precise form results in the creation of an elegant and minimalist design.
The distinctive feature of this project are the four legs, as they achieve a great slimness thanks to the patient work of “material reduction” and the use of steel inserts. Meanwhile, the thin table top acquires the charm of a completely innovative material, as its sturdiness, dimensional stability and durability make it ideal for a variety of uses and settings; in a living area, kitchen or workspace, it always maintains its unique aesthetic, visual and tactile appeal.
The Boiacca wood features a black or white epoxy lacquered aluminium frame with solid oak legs that are internally reinforced with a steel core. The table top is available in Pure-white laminate or black Fenix-NTM, a thermo-laminate with unique properties. The Fenix top provides a matt anti-reflective effect that gives the surface of this material a warm appeal and soft touch, also making it highly resistant to scratches, abrasion, heat and stains.
For LucidPevere, their design process involves constant innovation while always paying respect to their materials, “In most cases we start with a technology, as we try to express a material in the best possible way without pushing it too far, without trying to make it do things it wasn’t born to do”.
