A new online store with an ethical perspective aims to take the mindlessness out of consumerism.
September 10th, 2008
Arterystore.com is Australasia’s most extensive online design and lifestyle department store promoting thoughtful consumption with a range of 75 brands and over 500 products.
The store was inspired by founder Janet E. Leach’s [pictured below] passion for the arts, design, the environment and humanitarian issues.
“Arterystore.com’s philosophy rejects excessive production of short lived or disposable items and aims to make great design accessible to the masses,” Leach says.
Products include sustainable, ethical and fair-trade homewares, furniture and lighting, books, art, gifts and baby, child and teen items.
“Arterystore.com is a lifeline to cool products at the heart of great design. We aim to create an online department store that design conscious consumers can depend on to deliver the coolest, rarest and most inspirational finds,” Leach adds.
