Profurn are making their presence known on the world design stage with the international award-winning compact seat, JumpSeat.
August 20th, 2013
The JumpSeat launched just last month and it did so with international awards already strapped to its back. The proudly Australian owned company, Profurn – specialists in the supply and installation of fixed seating – are the exclusive Australian and New Zealand distributors of the ergonomically designed JumpSeat along with the JumpSeat Wall and the JumpSeat Tablet.

The Jumpseat was born out of the vision from Ziba Design in collaboration with Sedia Systems to develop a compact seat that provided spatial solutions. Tight spaces in cinema isles, lecture theatres and waiting rooms that can cause congestion and hinder movement, is solved with the folding element of the JumpSeat. Folding to less than 100mm when not in use, it allows for the maximum amount of people in the minimum amount of space.

This is slim design and spacious practicality at its finest.

The plywood and steel construction create the backbone of the cantilevered structure. The folding mechanism has the seat planked off the wall, making it ideal for hospital corridors, waiting rooms and other public areas that need seating arrangements but have limited space.

The Jumpseat Tablet adds to the ergonomics of the compact chair by offering a functional work surface for laptops, tablets and other devices. Sturdy, extruded aluminum provides the framework for the Tablet, available in both anti-panic or fixed table solutions.
