Molmic has officially opened its new trade showroom in Abbotsford, Melbourne with a glittering launch last week. Right in the hub of design at 363 Johnston Street, the space perfectly showcases the latest collections from the Melbourne-based company and is a place for architects and designers to meet clients and survey the offerings.
Founded by Molly and Michael McMahon in 1987, Molmic has been manufacturing in Melbourne for over 37 years, with a family-centric approach that has allowed Molly’s four children to become integral to company operations. Each brings their own expertise and passion to different facets of the business, reinforcing Molmic’s commitment to quality.
Anthony Paterra, General Manager of Molmic, shares his mother’s passion for furniture design. Referring to his mother, Paterra says, “Her bold decision to focus on producing high-quality, locally made furniture resonated deeply with the values of Australian craftsmanship and sustainability.”
From design, production and marketing to customer relations, the family collectively contributes to the brand’s success. As the company’s founders and the second-generation leaders are working to now steer the business into the future.
“Our strong family involvement ensures that the original vision of quality, durability, and local craftsmanship is preserved and enhanced. Regarded as heirloom pieces due to their enduring quality,” comments Paterra. The new showroom is open for business and is certain to become a must-visit destination for lovers of furniture design.
