This year, Business of Design Week in Hong Kong will partner Germany to discuss a wide range of topics in design, technology and brand management.
November 15th, 2011
In the last few years, Business of Design Week (BODW) in Hong Kong has partnered with such countries as the UK, Italy, the Netherlands, France and Japan, bringing some of the most innovative thinkers and business leaders from around the world to share valuable insights and exchange ideas with the Hong Kong and Asian design community.
This year, BODW has selected Germany as its partner, a country with a strong reputation in both design and brand building.
Invited BODW speaker, Dieter Rams
“It is home to many famous brands such as Audi, Braun, Mercedes-Benz, Hugo Boss, Adidas and many more,” says William To, project director of the Hong Kong Design Centre, which organises the event.
“The representatives from there will be very good case studies for Hong Kong and Asian enterprises and design practitioners to learn from. As a leader in automotive, product and architectural design, Germany is a great fit for BODW to nurture a creative and strong brand management culture in the region.”
Architect Ole Scheeren will also speak at BODW
Speakers from Germany at BODW will include Dieter Rams (author of the “Ten Principles to Good Design”), architect Ole Scheeren (CCTV Tower, Beijing), and new media godfather Joachim Sauter (ART+COM).
BODW will be held from 28 November to 3 December. For more information, visit bodw.com/2011/en/
