Since our very first event in Singapore, we have had the invaluable support of Red Dot. From hosting our opening and closing parties at the very first event in 2011 (then named ‘Saturday in Design’) to opening up part of the Red Dot Design Museum for us to curate our own space in 2012, our event in Singapore has always been enriched by their support.

Our history with Red Dot goes back further, as Raj Nandan, CEO of our event’s founding company Indesign Media Asia Pacific, has long been involved in the Red Dot Asian Design Award, and is a member of the global jury panel for the international Red Dot Award, based out of Germany.

At Singapore Indesign 2014, Red Dot has again given over their whole museum for us to take over with a curated space. This will host high-end Exhibitors, both international and local, as well as the creative Project installations and demonstrations and workshops.
Back in 2012, we transformed the Red Dot Museum into a vivid curation of Exhibitors and creative projects. There were a number of visiting designers and brands from Australia, either launching in Singapore or keen to meet local specifiers and designers.

There were fabric printing demonstrations by Korla, with the colourful results given out as free tote bags to onlookers, as well as a sculpture by the designers at MINUS, made entirely from pages of Indesign Media’s own Cubes Indesign magazine.
