EDL welcome a new age of innovation with their inspirational laminates and a new identity.
July 15th, 2014
In celebration of their 10th anniversary, EDL have undertaken a total, 360-degree rebrand. Their new identity is across multiple platforms, and at Singapore Indesign, they’ll have new products, their annual, inspirational publication to launch, and a future-themed installation for The Project.
From its founding in Singapore, EDL is now also in Malaysia, the Philippines and Thailand. Following a decade of interior inspiration, EDL look to present a fresh face to the market. They’ve used their 10th anniversary as an opportunity to remake their brand identity – embracing simplicity whilst retaining their DNA. To that end, their sleek new logo embodies their current state of mind.
At Singapore Indesign, you’ll be able to pick up a copy of their annual print publication, Cover Everything. This is full of inspiration, celebrating the many facets and three-dimensional nature of their High Pressure Laminates with beautiful, sophisticated spaces.
As they say, though, “To create beautiful spaces, you need beautiful materials”, and EDL will have many new materials on display. Alevé, streamlined and seamless, is a timber laminate named after the ancient Alevé forest in Piedmont, Italy.
Cemento is their new cement finish, made in Italy, and the R-series is a range of timber designs with an intricate ridged finish. Notably, the R-series has tactile grooves, asymmetrical forms and textures, and lovely patterned grains.
