Organised by Sleeper, a leading international magazine for hotel design, development and architecture, the European Hotel Design Awards has been giving recognition to projects in the European continent for a good 16 years.
This year, the first ever Asia edition will be held in Singapore on 12 March at Parkroyal on Pickering. With entries coming in from all over the region, Awards Director and Editor-in-Chief of Sleeper Magazine Matt Turner describes the submissions received as “the highest calibre of quality and creativity” and says “the competition was very close”.

The Asia Hotel Design Awards features 11 categories and is designed to underscore the diversity of talent across all hotel sectors. Categories include Architecture (Historical Building); Architecture (Newbuild – resort); Architecture (Newbuild – urban); Interior Design (Bar); Interior Design (Bedrooms & Bathrooms); Interior Design (Café Bar or All Day Dining); Interior Design (Event Space – conference, banqueting & meetings); Interior Design (Lobby, Lounge & Public Areas); Interior Design (Restaurant); Interior Design (Spa & Wellness); and Interior Design (Suite).
