Interior design and architecture studio Hot Black celebrated 10 years of practice with an unforgettable event full of surprises in Melbourne’s Longsong.
November 18th, 2022
For many design studios – and businesses in general – taking a moment to celebrate the milestones can fall to the bottom of the list of important things, particularly when you’re busy creating great things for clients.
But Hot Black recognised the significance of hitting 10 years in business with an event that pulled out all of the stops.
Held upstairs at Long Grain, in the private dining area Longsong, guests were welcomed with seductive dancers and contortionists on the stairs, who then roamed the room throughout the night, adding an unexpected twist.
The food and wine was flowing, and despite the torrential downpour, guests showed up in droves. From clients and project managers to suppliers across the spectrum, the crowd was full of life.
Hot Black founder Sophie Safrin took to the stage to thank everyone and share stories from the early days. Now with a Sydney office and an architecture division, the commercial interiors studio has continued to grow from strength to strength, and the 10th anniversary celebration attests to this.
Other surprises that delighted the crowds throughout the evening was a tarot card reader and acrobatic performers. But the true highlight was the carefree dancefloor where the DJ enticed guests long into the night.
Congratulations to Hot Black on such a big milestone, can’t wait to see what the next big party brings!
