Five star luxury hotel Fraser Suites, Perth specifies Designer Rugs to customise hotel lobby
March 13th, 2013
Designer Rugs recently customised the five star hotel Fraser Suites, Perth lobby and entrance. The project required Designer Rugs to evoke the grandeur of a luxury hotel, but it also required them to create a stylish space in keeping with the uniquely modern design aesthetic of Fraser Suites, as reflected in the sophistication of their clientele.
The grand entrance rug draws all eyes in for a first impression that perfectly offsets the limestone floors and gold-hued columns. As a focal point, the grand entrance rug gives a structure to the vast space of the luxury hotel entrance, and ties all the architectural and interior design elements together to give aesthetic cohesion.
The four rugs used for the ground floor entry foyer, reception and lounge bar provide a lavish yet sophisticated contrast to the limestone floors and timber wall panelling, and measure a total of 120 square metres.
In addition to custom dyeing colours to match design, geometric patterns in their rugs were able to be matched to geometric patterns within the furniture pieces of the lobby and lounge areas. For instance, concentric circles in the rugs were reflected above in the concentric circles of lounge bar light fittings and side tables.
Designer Rugs have been perfecting commercial and residential spaces with their high quality, unique rugs for over twenty-five years. They’ve collaborated with a number of high profile designers, including Akira Isogawa, Alex Perry, Dinosaur Designs and Easton Pearson.
The success and cohesive beauty of the Fraser Suites project is partly due to Designer Rugs’ ability to custom dye colours to match design, their knowledge of yarn types – and ready advice, and their ability to carve geometric patterns in their rug designs. These abilities meant Designer Rugs were able to provide Fraser Suites with beautiful custom designed rugs perfectly suited to modern luxury.
