American duo Charles and Ray Eames are highly regarded for their developments in the modernist design movement.
Although well known for their furniture and architecture, they also produced a series of films.
The Design Institute of Australia (SA Branch) and New Architects and Graduates are joining forces to present a collection of these films.
The films are presented by Alan Boyd, who will help digest the meanings behind these educational offerings.
“Charles didn’t write any books on design but the films are seen as essays on his design philosophies,” Alan said.
“So what I do is weave some stories round several short films by Ray and Charles, some quite well known and some that are rarely seen.”
